Commonly sold in nurseries and garden centres, Nepenthes x ventrata is a very easy plant to grow, and is a great beginner's Nepenthes Usually sold incorrectly as N. alata. This can be a large plant that will likely become too large for the typical windowsill or terrarium.
Temperature: Room temperature.
Humidity: Ambient humidity or higher.
Light level: Part sun to very bright shade.
Elevation range: Cultivated hybrid.
Watering: Keep medium evenly moist, but not saturated. Water purity should not be worse than 200 PPM of dissolved solids.
Soil: Typical open Nepenthes mix, consisting of sphagnum peat moss, long fibered Sphagnum moss, and orchid bark. (In reality, most Nepenthes are not particularly picky about what they are growing in, as long as the medium is acidic, well draining, and nutrient-poor.
